In our final webinar of 2021, we are joined by our Steering Committee to discuss Cyber Security Trends in 2021, YCSC achievements and security PhD theses.
Our top achievements of 2022 included:
- Our steering committee members Melanie Oldham MBE, Gary Hibberd, and Mike Faulks have become CIISec fellows
- Sheffield Hallam University signed up 300 students for CIISec
- Catherine Knibbs’ book, ‘Children, Technology and Healthy Development’ was published.
- Rory Innes’ charity, CyberHelpline, won Cyber Charity of the year at the National Cybersecurity.
Meanwhile, we saw ransomware on the rise, with cyber professionals veering towards a more ‘human’ approach to cyber security. In the final month of the year, we looked forward to 2022, with a new National Cyber Security Strategy and a new version of Cyber Essentials. Our Bookclub+ pick was Catherine Knibbs, ‘Children, Technology and Healthy Development’.
